Terms and Conditions of Membership

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form the agreement between you and Indie Shooters Limited (“IndieShooters”, “we”, “us”, “our”) regarding your paid membership and use of the website and community forum IndieShooters.org (“the Website”, “the Service”).
By subscribing, registering, or using the Service, you accept these Terms in full.

The Service operates from the United Kingdom under English law.
2 Membership and Eligibility
2.1 You must create an account to access member-only areas, post, and receive updates.
2.2 Registration details must be accurate and kept up to date. Using a false identity or impersonating another person or company is prohibited.
2.3 You are responsible for safeguarding your password and account.
2.4 Membership is personal to you and may not be transferred or shared.
2.5 We reserve the right to refuse or remove membership at our discretion.
3 Subscription Fees and Renewals
3.1 Membership is offered on a subscription basis, payable in advance via the Website using our authorised payment processor (e.g. Stripe).
3.2 Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled through your account settings before the renewal date.
3.3 Prices are shown in GBP (£). We may adjust fees periodically; any change will be announced on the Website or by email at least 14 days in advance.
3.4 You have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of purchase under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
– If you access members-only content during that period, you acknowledge that the service has begun and the statutory refund right no longer applies.
3.5 Refunds requested after the cooling-off period are at our discretion.
3.6 Failure to pay renewal fees will result in suspension or termination of access.
4 Use of the Service
4.1 Members must not post or share material that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, obscene, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.
4.2 You must not use the Service to send spam, promote unrelated commercial services, or solicit members without consent.
4.3 You remain responsible for everything posted through your account.
4.4 We may edit, hide, or remove any content that breaches these Terms or community standards.
4.5 Respect others’ privacy; do not share personal data from private areas without permission.
4.6 Repeated breaches or disruptive behaviour may lead to suspension or permanent removal without refund.
5 Intellectual Property
5.1 All site design, structure, and trademarks belong to Indie Shooters Limited.
5.2 By posting or uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and distribute that material within the Service and related promotions (such as newsletters).
5.3 You retain full ownership of your original work.
5.4 Do not reproduce or redistribute others’ posts or media outside the site without their explicit consent.
6 Our Commitment
6.1 We will take reasonable steps to maintain a secure, functional community platform.
6.2 While we aim for uninterrupted access, uptime depends on third-party infrastructure and cannot be guaranteed.
6.3 We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance or upgrades and will try to give notice where practical.
7 Liability and Disclaimers
7.1 The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no warranties that it will be error-free or uninterrupted.
7.2 We are not responsible for losses arising from:
– inaccurate or misleading content posted by members;
– failed collaborations or disputes between users;
– site downtime or data loss.
7.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7.4 Your use of the Service is at your own risk. Always verify contacts and offers independently.
8 Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Indie Shooters Limited, its officers, and staff against all losses, damages, costs, and claims arising from:
- your breach of these Terms;
- any content you post that infringes third-party rights;
- misuse of the Service via your account.
9 Termination
9.1 We may terminate or suspend your membership immediately if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service.
9.2 You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
9.3 Termination does not entitle you to a refund for any period already billed, except where required by law.
9.4 On termination, your access ceases and personal data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.
10 Advertising and Promotion
10.1 We may display relevant film-industry advertising on the site to help fund the Service.
10.2 We will never sell or rent your data to advertisers.
10.3 Member posts promoting commercial products, services, or partnerships require prior approval. Posts that breach this rule may be removed.
11 Equality and Community Standards
11.1 We are committed to equality and inclusivity regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or religion.
11.2 Abusive, discriminatory, or harassing behaviour will result in immediate suspension.
11.3 If another member asks you to stop contacting them, you must comply.
11.4 Treat fellow members with respect; collaboration works better than conflict.

12.2 By joining, you consent to receive essential account and subscription emails.
12.3 Marketing or newsletter preferences can be changed at any time in your profile settings.
13 Changes to These Terms

13.2 Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14 Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by English law.
The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
